NYC Restaurants: Masa is One of the Top Restaurants in NY, and a Stay at the Luxurious Park Lane Hotel Deserves a Dinner That is Just as Opulent
Masa is one of the top sushi Restaurants in NY and in the country. Chef Masa has been perfecting his cooking skills since he was a child, and the results are dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. If you can only visit one NYC Restaurant during your stay at Park Lane Hotel then Masa is a good choice.
Neighborhood: Midtown West
Masa offers a masterpiece of sushi options and other fare that is so perfect in presentation that it has been said that Chef Masa is as much an artist as he is a chef. Chef Masa was born in Japan and, after working his way up from dishwasher to sous chef, he eventually opened his own Restaurant in Los Angeles calls Ginza Sushi-ko before heading to New York.
He won many accolades during his time in Los Angeles, but the East Coast is thankful that he decided to make a move to New York in 2004. He opened Masa and the more casual but still quite fine Bar Masa. Sushi Restaurants in NY have never been the same.
Chef Masa offers a prix fixe menu that he creates around whatever ingredients are in season. The meal includes five appetizers and between 15 and 20 pieces of sushi. The sushi is masterfully created from fish that are flown in from Japan. Dessert is also included.
Chef Masa’s genius in the kitchen has earned him many accolades including a 4-star review from the New York Times and 3-star Michelin Award.
Dinner at Masa costs between $450 and $600 per person depending on the menu. You can also try some of Chef Masa’s creations at Bar Masa where he offers a lunch and dinner menu.
