About iLuminate:
The light-suit-wearing dance group iLuminate, which appeared on America’s Got Talent, comes to NYC this July near Park Lane Hotel – An NYC Hotel. iLuminate tells the story of a young artist named Jacob, who finds solace in a magical paintbrush that allows him to turn his characters into actual creatures. Miral Kotb directs this show, which is sure to be one of the top Events in NYC this month.

If you want to stay in New York Accommodations that are close to the top Events in NYC and Things to do in New York, stay at Park Lane Hotel – A Central Park Hotel near it all.

Why you should attend iLuminate:
iLuminate features outstanding choreography by Marcus Allan Cobb, Dario Mejia, Jon “J-Rock” Nelson, and Kotb. It’s an eye-popping, hour-long spectacle that’s part extended novelty act straight from America’s Got Talent and quite a bit of New York-style Off-Broadway flair. Creator Kotb, a former software engineer, and her crew of glow-suited iLuminate dancers came in 3rd place on the 6th season of the reality competition, and now they bring their agile light moves to the New World Stages near Park Lane Hotel – An NYC Hotel.

There are plenty of special effects to enjoy at iLuminute, which should make it one of the most exciting Events in NYC this month among New York Visitors looking for over-the-top Broadway plays and NYC Events. iLuminute offers not much in the way of dialogue – but it features a good amount of loud, electronic, non-stop music. The soundtrack is by Justin “Kanobby” Keitt and Christopher Tignor.

iLuminate is nicely executed, as characters seem to fly, float, and even switch heads at times. The effects typically incite “oohs” and “aahs” from the audience, especially from the kids. If you’re looking for Events in NYC near our New York Accommodations that are different from the norm, consider seeing iLuminate when you visit NYC this summer.

Tips for attending iLuminate:

  • While there are usually children in attendance at iLuminute (they love the break-dancing robots), keep in mind that the highlight of the show is a giant man-eating, glow-in-the-dark serpent – which the younger crowd may be a bit afraid of.
