About the Ground Zero Museum Workshop:
The Ground Zero Museum Workshop, not to be confused with the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, is an opportunity to see some haunting, touching photographs along with remnants and artifacts from Ground Zero.

The interactive Museum will make you feel as though you have stepped back to 2001 and 2002 when the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center Sites were active. You’ll see 3D installations that will make you feel as if you are at Ground Zero during this tragic time in the nation’s history.

Why You Should Visit the Ground Zero Museum Workshop:
The recovery efforts at Ground Zero were watched on TV by millions of people around the world. This Museum, which has been called the “Biggest Little Museum in New York”, focuses on the recovery period. The photographs on display were taken by the official Ground Zero photographer, Gary Marlon Suson.

Visitors to this NY Museum leave with a richer understanding of the days and months that followed the 9/11 attacks. The Tour begins with a short video followed by seeing the artifacts and building remnants that were recovered from the Twin Towers. Visitors are free to handle some of the artifacts. The last part of the Tour is the audio tour during which you will see more than 80 of Suson’s photographs.

Tips for Visiting the Ground Zero Museum Workshop:

  • Many choose to visit this Museum before visiting the National September 11 Memorial.
  • You cannot purchase tickets at the Ground Zero Museum. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
  • Allow about two hours for the tour, and leave some extra time for exploring the Ground Zero Museum Workshop Store.
