9/11 Memorial and 9/11 Memorial Museum
Where: Liberty Street New York, NY 10006
The 9/11 Memorial Museum aims to tell the story of 9/11, but it also commemorates every single man, woman and child who died both on 9/11 and during the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. Visitors will hear survivors and rescuers tell their stories through a series of multimedia displays. Haunting artifacts that were recovered at the site or donated by victims, survivors or victims family members help to connect visitors to the Events of that horrible day. Equipment used by rescue workers, pieces of the actual fallen Towers and personal items that belonged to victims are among the artifacts on display at this somber New York Attraction.

The 9/11 Memorial, which opened on the 10 year anniversary of the attacks, includes two reflecting pools that sit in the footprint where the Towers once dominated the Manhattan skyline. Bronze panels that surround the edges of the pools are inscribed with the names of each of the nearly 3,000 victims.

While no one who was alive at the time of the attacks could ever forget the events of that day, the 9/11 Memorial Museum will ensure that future generations never forget either. It is a place where the victims can be remembered, and where people from around the world can come to reflect.

The cost of admission to the 9/11 Memorial Museum will be $24 per person. There is no charge to visit the 9/11 Memorial.
