From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. museums holding some of the best art collections in the world will swing open their doors and offer free admission during the Museum Mile Festival. Participating in the NYC event are The Jewish Museum, Cooper Hewitt, Museum of the City of New York, The Guggenheim, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and more! Thirty-nine blocks will be closed to vehicle traffic so attendees can stroll the streets, enjoy live music, Art-in-the-Street activities for kids, and much more!

Such is the popularity of this NYC event that organizers have to hold two sessions to accommodate the many who want to come and sample more than 150 craft beers, munch on amazingly delicious food, and enjoy the music! Your ticket covers it all! Check out the exciting bartender competition while you’re there to see which drink master has the most flair! General admission is $45, and VIP tickets are $85. VIP tickets get you an extra hour of tastings and access to some special brews not available to general admission ticket holders!

Dragon Boat Festival

Flushing Meadows Park
This marks the 27th year that the Dragon Boat Festival has graced Flushing Meadows Park, and thousands come to see the colorful boats, watch the exciting races, and enjoy the traditional music and dance performances that take place on the Main Stage. If you’re coming to see the races, they take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, with the championship race occurring on Sunday. The NY event is free and open to the public, and it takes place rain or shine!
U.S. Open Tennis

This prestigious NYC event draws tennis fans from around the world who come to see the world’s best players compete in what is the final tournament of tennis’ Grand Slam. The other competitions that make up the Grand Slam are the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon.
